Mount Carmel Dining Hall Addition and Renovation
Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut The Dining Hall, located in the Carl Hansen Student Center on the Mount Carmel Campus, underwent a multi-phased renovation and expansion to the existing facility to the east and to the north. The addition of two separate, two-story dining wings met the University's goals of expanding the servery to improve traffic flow, offering additional menu choices and approximately 600 additional seats. The construction of the additions occurred over a 30 month period of time, requiring precise phased planning as the kitchen and servery remained operational to serve the campus community. The last phase of the project was the renovation and expansion of the kitchen and servery. In addition, new offices were created for food service staff and catering operations, student government and new gathering spaces. Budget $22,597,000 Square Footage - addition: 20,000 sf |
