Engineering and Applied Technology Center
Century College, White Bear Lake, Minnesota The scope of work entailed the renovation of two floors and the new construction of a mezzanine in the Main Building on the East Campus. The renovation created a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Applied Technology Center that includes learning commons and flexible lab space used by Computer Science, Math and other STEAM Programs. The welding lab was also expanded and upgraded to meet the needs of the Applied Technology/Mechatronics Program which is expanding its program into robotic welding competencies. The space now supports continuing education and customized training. The scope also included addressing ADA and deferred maintenance, increased energy efficiencies with new systems that adhere to B3 Minnesota Sustainable Building Design Guidelines.
