Center for Health and Wellness at Eastman Hall
St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minnesota The renovation of and addition to a former recreation center co-locates all health related programs into one building. The building is now home to Student Health Services, Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), UChoose, Healthy Huskies, Recovery Community, Practicum Training Center and the Medical Clinic and Pharmacy. Originally constructed in 1929, it is the fourth oldest building on campus. The building was completely renovated and a new third story was constructed to house the CAPS program. The co-location of these entities will better coordinate patient care, reduce the stigma for mental health and increase access to support services for St. Cloud State University and St. Cloud Technical and Community College students. The renovation and expansion will also help the University achieve its goal of expanding interdisciplinary programs to meet workforce demands in healthcare. The project also features an outdoor plaza that faces the Mississippi River. Budget $19,437,000 Square Footage - addition: 15,000 sf - renovation: 43,000 sf |
