Multiple Locations in Minnesota Enterprise Data Centers PEGASUS GROUP was the Owner’s Representative for multiple HelathPartners' Enterprise Data Center projects. Oversight of these projects required working through planning, construction, commissioning and Owner acceptance and operation of a N+1 environment; plus the physical moving of a Data Center from power down, to transport, to reinstallation, power-up and system operation verification.
PEGASUS GROUP assisted with the strategic planning involved in the operational challenges of keeping the information nerve centers “up” while allowing for proper maintenance, operations and construction activities to occur. ENTERPRISE DATA CENTER #1 This 40,000 SF building is the nerve center of all information – patient scheduling, patient records, patient billing, company financial records, employee records, etc. used throughout their system. Redundant electrical and HVAC systems were designed to provide an N+1 environment. Additionally, two emergency generators serve the facility. DATA CENTER EXPANSION This raised floor 2,500 SF addition provides additional data computing and storage capacities to support Health Partners’ anticipated future growth by increasing the existing facilities electrical power capacity, cooling capacity and raised floor space. ENTERPRISE DATA CENTER #2 This facility was constructed as a freestanding, Purpose-built Data Center (PDC). HealthPartners occupies one of the three private data center suites, with 10,000 square feet of raised floor space. The PDC suite has independent infrastructure, no shared equipment, private A/B telco rooms and private Disaster Recovery office space. The building is designed and constructed to withstand 185 mph winds and uplift. It is enhanced with airside economizers to utilize free cooling. It is secured with a perimeter security fence, K-4 crash rated controlled access points and 24/7 on-site security. The project design is certified as Tier III by Uptime Institute and achieved LEED Silver certification. SERVICES PROVIDED BY PEGASUS GROUP
