PROJECT OVERVIEW
Cargill Engineering and Oils Pilot Plant at North American Food Innovation Center
Cargill, Savage, Minnesota This new building triples the size of Cargill's food pilot operations in the Twin Cities and provides the appropriate infrastructure for the company's Global Editable Oil Solutions (GEOS) business unit. In addition to the pilot plant area, the building includes a chemistry lab with fume hoods and special environmentally controlled storage areas for raw materials and finished sample products. The new space allows Cargill's food pilot operations to refine and blend edible oils and shortenings. Food scientists now have the ability to work in coordination on recipes at the same site, cutting down the time it takes to go from concept to market. 2020 Design-Build Institution of America (DBIA) Upper Midwest Region Honorable Mention Award.
